An endovenous ablation is a procedure that effectively seals the diseased veins shut by the targeted use of heat. It is commonly referred to as laser or radiofrequency vein treatment.
At Alate, we use ultrasound imaging to guide a small, flexible catheter into the problematic vein. Laser or radiofrequency energy is then applied, effectively closing the problem vein. It is a short, 20-minute procedure. The patient is in and out of the office within 1 hour. Alate Vein Center also offers twilight sedation, which many other vein centers do not offer. This ensures that the patient’s experience will be as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Furthermore, there is a quick recovery time. The patient is able to be back at work and doing daily activities the following day.
Alate Vein Center also offers complimentary cosmetic sclerotherapy for spider vein treatment.
Alate Vein Center is pleased to offer the VenaSeal™closure system that is used to effectively close the saphenous vein which can be the main cause of varicose veins.
During this procedure, we seal the saphenous veins by delivering medical adhesive (a type of glue) into the vein. VenaSeal™ is very effective and eliminates the risk of nerve injury around the small saphenous vein.
VenaSeal™ is a fast method of treating varicose veins. It only takes about 20 to 30 minutes and does not require sedation or the need for compression stockings after treatment. You will see cosmetic results quickly and you’ll also be able to return to work and daily activities the following day.
Sclerotherapy is a procedure that uses a special solution to destroy the damaged veins that cause varicose veins.
A type of liquid called sclerosant is injected into the veins to get them to close. The damaged veins are absorbed by your body, and healthier veins are used by your body to route blood back to your heart. Sclerotherapy can also be used for treating smaller veins known as spider veins.
Alate Vein Center offers free spider vein screening and very competitive sclerotherapy pricing. The competitive pricing is based on the required length of treatment time. During the screening (physical exam), we are able to determine the extent of your spider veins and provide an estimate of the time it will take for treatment. Also, we offer free cosmetic treatment of spider veins for those who get the medical portion of their problematic veins treated.
Phlebectomy is a technique used to remove varicose veins that involves several tiny incisions made in the skin through which the varicose vein is removed.
